Pakistani security forces struck the Afghan Taliban positions along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in the Zhob sector, security sources said on Wednesday.
According to the sources, the Pakistan Army struck two militant posts, identified as Post No. 2 and Post No. 3, during the operation.
Following the military action, militants fled the area, abandoning their positions and weapons, the sources added.
Security officials said Pakistani forces seized Russian-made 73mm HGL-9 heavy grenade launchers from the positions previously held by the militants.
The sources reiterated that Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq is ongoing and will continue until its objectives are achieved.
