The bodies of four men were found in Quetta’s Hanna Urak area on Wednesday, with police confirming they had been shot dead.

Police initially said the victims could not be identified. However, they were later identified as Zubair Ahmed, Khalilur Rehman, Sadiq and Fareed.

According to police, all four men died from gunshot wounds. Officials said one of the victims, Fareed, had allegedly been abducted during the Mangi Dam incident.

The bodies were taken into custody and shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) for legal formalities and further examination.

Police and other law enforcement agencies have launched an investigation to determine the motive behind the killings and identify those responsible. Security has also been tightened in Hanna Urak and surrounding areas as investigators collect evidence.

Meanwhile, joint Operation Shaban, involving the Pakistan Army, Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan and police against Fitna al-Khawarij militants, continues across the province.

According to security sources, three more militants were killed in the latest operations, raising the death toll under Operation Shaban to 88.

The sources said a total of 126 militants have been killed in Operation Shaban and other intelligence-based operations across Balochistan since July 5.
