Tremors from a 5.3-magnitude earthquake were felt in several areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Saturday, causing panic among residents who rushed out of homes and offices.
Reports said the earthquake was felt in Swat, Malakand, and nearby areas.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake had a magnitude of 5.3 and originated in the Hindu Kush region.
The depth of the quake was recorded at 216 kilometres beneath the surface.
Residents in several areas were seen reciting prayers and moving to open spaces following the tremors.
However, there were no immediate reports of casualties or property damage, authorities said.
