Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is experiencing a return of cold weather, with intermittent rain and snowfall affecting both upper and plain areas since last night.

Snowfall continues in Malam Jabba, Kalam, Mahodand, Kaghan Valley, Shangla Top, Yakhtange, and Achrosara, while rain has been reported in Swat Valley, Mansehra, Balakot, Abbottabad, Haripur, Mardan, Kohat, and Bara.

The cold has intensified following the precipitation.

The Meteorological Department has forecast rain with thundershowers at some locations in Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan, Orakzai, Khyber, and Kurram.

Tourist routes are reopening, including the main Murree Road, as snowfall spreads across the upper mountain ranges.
