Habib University will host the Higher Education Commission’s (HEC) Progress Review Meeting for the first time from February 5 to 7, 2026, marking a major milestone in its national academic engagement.
The three-day gathering will bring together HEC leadership, vice-chancellors, directors of Quality Enhancement Cells and representatives from nearly 50 public and private universities across Sindh and Balochistan.
The annual meeting reflects HEC’s commitment to strengthening quality assurance and governance in higher education institutions across Pakistan.
The event will begin with a welcome session at Habib University, where the host institution will present its mission, vision and values to senior academic leadership.
University officials said the session would place Habib’s educational philosophy within the broader national debate on the future of higher learning.
Over three days, participants will attend structured sessions on capacity building, pre-implementation planning, institutional progress and regulatory compliance.
The meeting will conclude on February 7 with a closing ceremony and the distribution of certificates to participating universities.
