International community denounces Balochistan terror attacks

Several countries have condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan, expressing concern over the loss of life and reaffirming support for Pakistan’s fight against terrorism.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), militants affiliated with Fitna Al Hindustan attempted to carry out attacks across multiple cities in Balochistan on January 31.

The ISPR said the attacks were aimed at targeting civilians in order to destabilise the province.

Eighteen innocent civilians, including women and children, were killed in the attacks, while 15 security personnel were martyred confronting the militants.

In retaliatory operations, security forces killed 92 militants, including three suicide bombers, the ISPR added.

In a statement, Saudi Arabia strongly condemned the terrorist incidents in Balochistan.

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was deeply concerned over the violence and noted that Pakistani security forces were confronting terrorism with an effective strategy.

The Saudi foreign ministry said the Kingdom stands with the government and people of Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.

Qatar also issued a statement condemning the attacks.

The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the State of Qatar strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province, which resulted in deaths and injuries.

The statement reiterated Qatar’s firm rejection of all forms of violence, terrorism and criminal acts, regardless of their motives or justifications.

It expressed condolences to the families of the victims, sympathy with the people and government of Pakistan, and wished a speedy recovery to those injured.

The British High Commission in Pakistan also condemned the attacks, expressing sorrow over the incident.

In a message posted on X, it said the United Kingdom strongly condemns the terrorist attacks in Balochistan.

“Our thoughts are with the families who have lost loved ones and with all those affected. We stand with Pakistan in our shared commitment to reject terrorism and promote peace and security,” the statement said.

Türkiye’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs likewise condemned the terrorist attacks in Balochistan.

In a statement posted on X, the ministry said Türkiye strongly condemns the attacks in Pakistan’s Balochistan province.

The Turkish foreign ministry said it prays for the fallen security personnel and extends its heartfelt condolences to the people of Pakistan, adding that Türkiye will continue to stand in solidarity with Pakistan in the fight against terrorism.
