The Pakistan Navy and Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) conducted the 12th edition of the Bilateral Exercise Thamar Al Tayyib (TAT) 2025, reinforcing regional maritime cooperation and the longstanding friendship between the two countries.
The RNO flotilla, including vessels Al Rasikh and Al Shinas, was welcomed at Karachi Port with a traditional reception attended by senior Pakistan Navy officials, accompanied by a naval band performance.
TAT-2025 provided a platform for mutual learning, professional development, and enhanced interoperability. Pakistan and Oman have been conducting the TAT series since 1980, with the previous edition held in Omani waters in 2023.
The visit featured call-ons with senior Pakistan Navy leadership, onboard receptions, and visits to key naval installations and training facilities. Personnel from both navies engaged in operational discussions, professional dialogues, and experience sharing across various maritime domains.
The exercise culminated in a sea phase, where ships from both navies conducted advanced operational manoeuvres and joint drills covering major aspects of modern maritime warfare.
The Pakistan Navy reaffirmed its commitment to regional maritime security and strengthening ties with partner navies worldwide.
The Royal Navy of Oman’s participation in TAT-2025 highlights the growing defence partnership and shared resolve to promote peace, stability, and maritime collaboration in the region.
