Dengue cases rise in KP, 14 new infections reported in 24 hours

Dengue continued to impact Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with 14 new confirmed cases reported in the past 24 hours, the Health Department said on Saturday.

The province currently has 272 active dengue cases.

Six new patients affected by the virus were admitted to hospitals across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in the last 24 hours, while a total of 12 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals.

So far this year, the total number of dengue cases in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa stands at 6,053, with 2,077 patients requiring hospitalisation.

Overall, 5,777 patients have recovered from the disease, while four deaths have been reported this year.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely and urge residents to take preventive measures against mosquito breeding and dengue infection.
