Arshad Nadeem wins gold as Pakistan dominates javelin at Islamic Solidarity Games

Pakistan celebrated a stellar performance in the javelin throw at the 2025 Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, winning both gold and silver medals.

Arshad Nadeem dominated the event, securing the gold with an 83.05-metre throw on his second attempt.

He opened the competition with a 75.44m throw and followed up with 82.48m on his third attempt.

Nadeem, who previously set a Games record of 88.55m in Konya in 2022, added another memorable achievement to his record.

Teammate Yasir Sultan earned the silver medal, marking a double podium finish for Pakistan. Nigeria’s Semiu Adams claimed the bronze.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi congratulated Nadeem on his victory, saying, “Well done, national hero Arshad Nadeem. I also extend my congratulations to his coach and family. Arshad has made every Pakistani proud. His win is Pakistan’s triumph.”

Nadeem’s performance not only highlights his continued excellence but also underscores Pakistan’s growing strength in track and field events on the international stage.
