Gold prices have been on a sharp upward trend since the beginning of 2025, with another major increase recorded in Pakistan on Thursday.
The price of gold per tola has risen by Rs1,000.
With this latest hike, gold prices have reached all-time highs in both global and local markets.
On Thursday, the price of 24-karat gold per tola in local markets increased by Rs1,000, bringing the new rate to Rs 309,000.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold in Pakistan surged by Rs 857, reaching Rs 264,917.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold per ounce increased by $9, setting a new record at $2,953.
