Earthquake shocks were felt in several Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cities on Tuesday, which caused widespread panic among residents.
The epicentre of the earthquake was located in the border region between Afghanistan and Tajikistan, registering a magnitude of 5.1 on the Richter scale.
Seismic monitoring centres reported that the tremors were felt in several cities, including Swat and Peshawar.
There have been no immediate reports of casualties or property damage.
