Snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Shogran ends dry spell

Snowfall in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Kaghan Valley has increased the charm of one of the top tourist destinations in the country.

Most regions of the country are expected to experience cold and dry weather on Friday, with mountainous areas likely to face severe cold during the night hours, the Pakistan Meteorological Department said.

Over the last 24 hours, the weather remained cold and dry in most parts of the country while the mountainous regions have experienced extremely cold temperatures.

The recorded minimum temperatures were as follows:

  • Leh: -12°C
  • Kalam, Gupis, and Astore: -9°C
  • Quetta: -8°C
  • Skardu: -6°C
  • Hunza: -4°C
  • Malam Jabba, Dir, and Parachinar: -3°C

Meanwhile, the Shogran Road has been reopened to tourists, allowing access to the stunning landscapes.
