The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the induction of cricket legends Inzamam-ul-Haq, Misbah-ul-Haq, Mushtaq Mohammad, and Saeed Anwar into its Hall of Fame for 2024.
This decision follows a transparent voting process conducted by an independent panel comprising PCB Hall of Famers, former women international cricketers, and cricket journalists.
PCB Chair Mohsin Naqvi expressed pride in honoring these icons, stating, “Their talent, charisma, and unwavering commitment have made them true ambassadors of cricket. We hope aspiring cricketers will look up to these legends and strive to follow in their footsteps.”
The four players will join an illustrious group that includes Abdul Qadir, AH Kardar, Fazal Mahmood, Hanif Mohammad, Imran Khan, Javed Miandad, Wasim Akram, Waqar Younis, Younis Khan, and Zaheer Abbas.
They will be formally inducted during a ceremony later this year, where they will receive commemorative caps and specially designed plaques.
Inzamam-ul-Haq, who played from 1991 to 2007, was a vital member of Pakistan’s 1992 World Cup-winning team. Misbah-ul-Haq, who represented the nation from 2001 to 2017, was part of the 2009 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup-winning squad and led the team to the top of the ICC Test Team Rankings in 2016.
Mushtaq Mohammad, active from 1959 to 1979, captained Pakistan to its first Test victory in Australia in 1977 and played in the inaugural ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup in 1975.
Saeed Anwar, who played from 1989 to 2003, is renowned for his impressive record of 31 centuries and 68 half-centuries, including performances across three World Cups.
Mohsin Naqvi praised the contributions of the inductees, highlighting their roles in elevating Pakistan cricket and inspiring future generations.

He noted, “These four giants hold a special place in our cricketing history, showcasing skill and sportsmanship on the global stage.”
Notably, the PCB typically inducts two former cricketers each year into the Hall of Fame, but four have been recognized in 2024 due to no inductions in 2023.
