Traffic police set fire to rickshaw of impoverished driver in Mardan

In a shocking incident in Mardan, the traffic police set fire to the rickshaw belonging to a struggling driver named Hamza.

Traffic officer Waqas and constable Shahzad allegedly doused the rickshaw in petrol before igniting it.

The incident followed a Rs700 fine issued to Hamza by the traffic police. After he lodged a complaint with higher authorities, those officials summoned the involved traffic officer and constable for questioning.

In a fit of anger, Waqas and Shahzad reportedly set the rickshaw ablaze and then fled the scene.

The police have since filed a case against traffic officer Waqas and constable Shahzad at the request of rickshaw driver Hamza.
