Punjab education dept imposes ban on winter camps in schools during holidays

The Punjab School Education Department has announced a complete ban on winter camps in all schools throughout the province during the winter holidays.

This directive affects both private and public institutions, aiming to ensure adherence during the vacation period.

In lieu of winter camps, the department will allow online classes to help maintain students’ academic progress. Education officials have been directed to enforce this ban rigorously and take action against any violators.

The department emphasized that strict penalties will be imposed on schools or individuals attempting to circumvent the ban by organizing winter camps. “No school, whether private or government, is permitted to hold winter camps during the holidays,” the statement clarified.
