The Lahore Sessions Court has sentenced a man to life imprisonment twice for the abduction and sexual assault of a twelve-year-old girl.
Additional Sessions Judge Rafaqat Ali Qamar announced the verdict after determining that the evidence presented in the case was conclusive.
The incident, which occurred in 2013, led to the registration of a case by the Hanjrawal police against the convict. The prosecution, represented by lawyer Ayesha Tufail, provided compelling arguments during the trial, leading to today’s decision.
In addition to the two life sentences, the court has imposed a fine of one hundred thousand rupees on the convict, Awan Rahman.
