PTI finalises demands for talks with government

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has drafted its demands for negotiations with the government following the formation of a governmental committee to facilitate talks.

Sources within the party reveal that a list of approximately 5,000 political prisoners has been compiled, with PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s name at the top.

The committee formed by PTI includes Omar Ayub Khan, Ali Amin Gandapur, Salman Akram Raja, Asad Qaiser, Hamid Raza, Hamid Khan, and Allama Raja Nasir Abbas.

PTI sources indicate that the release of all political prisoners is a key demand. They also intend to push for the establishment of judicial commissions to investigate the events of May 9 and November 26. The party is advocating for these commissions to be composed of three of the Supreme Court’s most senior judges.

However, the government’s stance remains firm. Barrister Aqeel, the Prime Minister’s Advisor on Law and Justice, has stated that Imran Khan’s release will not be on the negotiation table.
