Anchorperson Mona Alam has vowed to bring perpetrators of fake video to justice after indecent content was linked to her on social media.
“This woman’s objectionable video is being spread by petty haters on social media, claiming it’s me. She is a proven criminal herself and hence posting her real screen grab for clarity,” the journalist said in a post on X.
In the recent past, artificially generated videos and alleged videos of social media influencers have surfaced on social media.
In November, Mathira clarified that viral social media content linked to her was “fake and AI generated.”
In an interview with 24 Digital, she called for making an example of those who leak and create fake videos of girls and celebrities.
While some have criticised them, others have called for not sharing or reacting to such content and demanded that it should be reported to the platforms.
