Students thrash trophy cabinets at Islamia College Peshawar

Angry students stormed the office of the Assistant Director of Sports at Islamia College Peshawar on Wednesday, shattering the glass of trophy cabinets.

The Assistant Director has written a letter to the university registrar regarding the incident, warning that his family is also at risk from the agitated students.

According to the sports officer, during a meeting with the Afghan Commissionerate, around 20 upset students suddenly attacked the office, breaking the glass of historic trophies that have been preserved for years.

In his letter to the college administration, the Assistant Director mentioned that these same students had previously attacked his home two months ago.

Prior to this incident, the agitated students had also targeted the registrar’s office, the controller’s office, and the vice chancellor’s office.

The Assistant Director has requested that cases be filed against the involved students and called for further action.
