Hajj 2025: Deadline for applications today

The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Pakistan has officially announced a deadline for those wishing to perform Hajj in 2025. In a recent statement, the ministry confirmed that applications for Hajj 2025 will be accepted until December 17, 2024, which falls on Tuesday.

This application process will take place at banks across the country, and all submissions received by this deadline will be processed on a “first come, first served” basis.

To further facilitate intending pilgrims, the Ministry has outlined that the second installment of Hajj 2025 dues should be deposited at designated banks between December 19 and December 27.

In a bid to keep the public informed about new announcements related to the Hajj pilgrimage, the Ministry has encouraged individuals to download the mobile application “Pak Hajj” onto their smartphones. This app is designed to provide timely updates and essential information for prospective pilgrims.

In a related effort to assist those applying for Hajj 2025, the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued directives in November 2024, instructing 15 designated banks to ensure that their branches remain open on Sundays throughout the country. This initiative was implemented following a request from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, aimed at facilitating the deposit of Hajj applications and associated dues. The SBP has specifically directed these banks to operate from 9:00am to 2:30pm on November 30 and December 1.

The Pakistani government announced on November 23, a significant reduction in airfare for those participating in Hajj 2025.
