The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has reported that most cities in the country are expected to experience severe cold today. Snowfall is predicted in the mountains, and there will be partially cloudy skies.
The frigid winds from Balochistan have further chilled the weather in Karachi.
The northern areas of the country are under the grip of intense cold, with the mountains covered in a white blanket of snow. Over the last 24 hours, the lowest temperatures recorded were minus 11 degrees Celsius in Skardu and Astor, while Hunza recorded -6 degrees Celsius.

The department stated that the weather in the twin cities and most areas of the country will remain extremely cold and dry today, with mountainous regions expected to be particularly frigid.
