Thailand launches E-Visa service for foreign nationals for Pakistan, Afghanistan

Thailand has announced the introduction of a significant e-visa service for foreign nationals residing in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

According to media reports, this service will be operational starting January 1, 2025, at 10am.

Foreign nationals seeking a Thai visa from these countries will be required to apply through a new online visa platform available on the designated website.

Upon approval of their e-visa application, applicants will receive a confirmation email, which must be printed and presented to the airline at departure and to Thai immigration officials upon arrival.

The Thai embassy will continue to accept in-person visa applications until December 24.
