Saudia to enhance tourism from Pakistan by 2030

Saudi Arabia’s national airline, Saudia, has announced ambitious plans to significantly increase tourism from Pakistan, targeting 3.5 million annual visitors by 2030.

This initiative is part of the Kingdom’s broader Vision 2030 strategy, which aims to diversify its economy through enhanced tourism.

Since its inaugural flight to Karachi in 1970, Saudia has developed strng ties with Pakistan, currently operating an extensive network of weekly flights to major cities including Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, and Sialkot.

To facilitate this growth, Saudia plans to add 105 new aircraft to its fleet and has launched an AI-powered Travel Companion platform, currently in beta. This innovative tool is designed to streamline the booking process for accommodations, transportation, and activities through verified providers.

The airline’s target of attracting 3.5 million Pakistani visitors annually is crucial to achieving Saudi Arabia’s goal of welcoming 330 million tourists by 2030. Additionally, Saudia has enhanced its AlFursan loyalty program, introducing improved features for reward management, mileage tracking, and membership upgrades as part of a broader digital transformation strategy aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
