In Pahar Khel Pacca, Lakki Marwat, unknown gunmen on motorcycles opened fire, killing a sub-inspector and a father and son on Saturday.
Reports indicated that the sub-inspector, Abdul Qadeer Marwat, was a officer of the Punjab Police and had returned home on leave from his duties in Faisalabad.
After the attack, the assailants fled the scene.
The bodies of the three victims were quickly taken to the DHQ Hospital. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
