District administration seals businesses linked to PTI leaders

The Chichawatni district administration has sealed several businesses owned by leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and local officials within the last 24 hours.

The filling station in Rai Ahmed Nawaz Town, Chak 120/12-L, Chichawatni, has been sealed by the local assistant commissioner.

The sealed establishments include petrol stations, private housing colonies, poultry farms, and retail outlets.

According to Dawn News, the petrol station owned by PTI MNA Rai Hassan Nawaz on the national highway, as well as the filling station in Rai Ahmed Nawaz Town, Chak 120/12-L in Chichawatni, were sealed by the local assistant commissioner.

Additionally, filling stations belonging to PTI central leader Shakeel Khan Niazi, former Sahiwal mayor Asad Khan Baloch, and PTI district president Rana Aftab were sealed at DPO Chowk, GT Road, and City premises, respectively.

The Iris Hotel and Iris Resort, owned by Rana Amir Shehzad, a PTI ticket holder from NA-141, were also closed down.

Chaudhry Asif, a local real estate tycoon and owner of the housing scheme Jevon City, saw his office sealed on Midhli Road.

District Planning Officer Javed Anwar Gondal explained that housing colonies failing to pay dues to the Metropolitan Corporation or District Council for No Objection Certificates (NOCs) have been sealed.

He also noted that Al-Haram Villas in Adda Shabil and Al-Rahman Town, Chak 142/9-L, were sealed, along with a poultry shed owned by the Shahbaz Dhaku family.

Gondal emphasized that the operation against illegal housing societies and constructions was launched across the board on the Deputy Commissioner’s orders, without any specific agenda.
