Terrorists ring leader among four killed in Khyber operation: ISPR

At least four terrorists belonging to the banned Fitnaal Khawarij were killed and three injured in an intelligence based operation in the general area of Khyber district’s Bagh, the military’s media wing said on Thursday.

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations said that the operation was conducted on Wednesday on the reported presence of terrorists.

“Kharji ring leader Batoor” was among those killed.

“Sanitisation operation is being conducted to eliminate any other Kharji found in the area, as security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR said.

Last week, three terrorists were killed in two separate engagements with security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s cities on November 21-22.

Pakistan has seen an increase in militancy since the Afghan Taliban returned to power in 2021, with the Pakistani chapter of the movement carrying out attacks mostly targeting security forces.
