Schools in Islamabad and Rawalpindi have reopened after a four-day closure caused by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protests.

Both public and private schools resumed classes on Thursday, November 28, following an improvement in the overall security situation.

The Deputy Commissioner confirmed the reopening of all public and private schools and colleges across the district. The three private school associations also confirmed the resumption of classes, notifying parents via WhatsApp messages. Government school offices have also reopened, and teachers and non-teaching staff have returned to work.

In addition to schools, commercial centers in the twin cities have reopened after a four-day closure. Internet and metro services have been restored, and the return to normalcy has brought relief to the public.

By Wednesday morning, the situation in Islamabad and Rawalpindi had largely returned to normal. All roadblocks were removed, traffic flow was restored, and roads in Lahore were also cleared. Traffic is flowing freely on motorways and national highways.
