The re-release of the classic Bollywood film “Karan Arjun,” featuring Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan, has generated ₹1.08 crore at the Indian box office over its opening weekend. This makes it the third highest-grossing re-release of 2024.
Despite its iconic status, the film’s opening figures fell short of expectations. It was showcased in a remarkable 1,364 theaters globally, achieving the widest distribution of the year.
The film’s journey began with a collection of ₹25 lakh on its first day. This rose significantly by 60% on the second day, bringing in ₹40 lakh, followed by a further ₹43 lakh on the third day.
Overall, the film’s total net collection reached ₹1.08 crore by the end of the weekend.
While the numbers are respectable, they still place “Karan Arjun” behind the top two re-releases of the year, “Tumbbad” and “Laila Majnu.”
