Authorities in Kuwait have taken significant steps to revoke the nationalities of more than 4,200 individuals within just three weeks.
This crackdown targets those who have allegedly forged documents to obtain citizenship or have violated national laws.
The Nationality Investigations Department submitted a detailed report to the High Committee for Kuwaiti Nationality, which is chaired by Minister of Defense and Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Al-Sabah.
This committee is responsible for reviewing cases of dual citizenship and identifying fraudulent applications.
Their findings are then presented to the Council of Ministers for final approval.
Recent actions include the revocation of nationalities for 1,647 individuals in a single day, marking the second-largest mass revocation after 1,535 cases were addressed on November 14.
Other revocations occurred on November 7, when 930 nationalities were cancelled, and on November 2, when 168 were revoked.
The Kuwaiti government emphasizes that this initiative is part of a broader effort to safeguard national identity and integrity.
