In an effort to thawrt the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) protest scheduled for November 24, the government has closed all entry and exit points in the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad and Lahore.
The closure of motorways and bus terminals has led to significant inconvenience for people who were travelling out of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
Consequently, a surge in passengers has been witnessed at Rawalpindi Railways station. Many travelers have been unable to secure tickets due to the overwhelming crowd.
Although a shuttle train service is available, thousands of passengers remain stranded and unable to reach their destinations, creating a backlog at the station.
