Billy Zane has taken on the iconic role of Marlon Brando in the highly anticipated film “Waltzing with Brando,” and new images reveal his remarkable transformation.
Directed by Bill Fishman, the film showcases Zane as a striking lookalike of Brando during his celebrated period in the early 1970s, particularly reflecting his roles in “The Godfather” and “Last Tango in Paris.”
The film tells the lesser-known true story of how Brando persuaded architect Bernard “Bernie” Judge to collaborate on creating an ecologically sustainable retreat on a remote island in Tahiti.
The synopsis highlights the dynamic between the pragmatic Judge and the visionary Brando as they embark on an extraordinary adventure that leads to an unlikely friendship.
“Waltzing with Brando,” based on Judge’s 2011 memoir, will premiere as the closing film of the 2024 Torino Film Festival on November 30.
