Manzoor Wasan makes prediction about Imran’s jail term

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Mansoor Wassan has predicted that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan will remain in jail through the summer, following his previous prediction that he would remain imprisoned through the winter.

In a recent statement, Wassan asserted that the 26th Constitutional Amendment incorporates clauses from the 18th Amendment and that it does not harm the judiciary or the public. He stated that Imran Khan is in serious trouble and will remain incarcerated beyond the winter months.

Wassan refuted allegations of the PPP colluding with the establishment, emphasizing the party’s commitment to democracy and the people. He also stated that the Sindh government is actively maintaining law and order in the province and that they do not support the construction of six new canals from the Indus River in Punjab.

Wassan expressed his support for the establishment of new educational institutions, urging education-friendly individuals to focus on opening such facilities. He praised the new building of the Pakistan Law College, highlighting the historical significance of Khairpur as a center of learning and literature, and expressed hope that the region’s youth would become prominent lawyers after studying at the college.

On October 1, Wassan had previously predicted that Imran Khan would spend a considerable time in jail, noting that he was already facing the harsh winter conditions in Islamabad and Murree. He had also commented that Imran Khan’s attempts to secure relief through protests would be unsuccessful due to the resolve of those in power, and criticized Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister for actions that he believed harmed Imran Khan and the PTI.

Wassan further predicted that the current government system would continue, but with changes in leadership, suggesting that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif could survive the current political climate if he demonstrates competence.
