At least three security personnel were killed and four others injured in a bomb blast in Kalat district, Balochistan, on Saturday, BBC Urdu reported.
The incident occurred on the Skalko Road near Qalat city, according to a senior official from the local administration.
Unidentified individuals had planted explosive materials at the location known as Dasht Mahmood on Skalko Road. The explosives detonated as a vehicle carrying security forces was passing by, the police official said.
The official added that three personnel aboard the vehicle were killed due to the blast while four others sustained injuries. The wounded have been transferred to a hospital for medical treatment.
An official has confirmed that the blast was caused by an improvised explosive device. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack.
Kalat is located approximately 150 kilometres south of Quetta city and is populated by various Baloch tribes.

Earlier this year, on the night of August 25-26, 11 people, including Levies and police personnel, were killed in attacks by militants on a Levies station and other locations in Qalat.
In June, two Frontier Corps personnel were killed in an attack on a security post at a Pakistan Petroleum Limited exploration site near Skalko in Kalat.
In the past, most attacks in Kalat have been attributed to the banned militant group.
