Lookalike of Ali Amin Gandapur turns up for PTI protest as KP CM gets late

A lookalike of Ali Amin Gandapur turned up for the PTI protest on Saturday as the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chief minister was late to join the party’s supporters at Rawalpindi’s Liaquat Bagh.

Imran Khan’s party has called for protests in the garrison city’s iconic park against the government’s proposed constitutional amendment, aimed at judicial reforms and extension in the chief justice of Pakistan tenure.

Clashes between supporters of PTI and the police were reported at Attock Road and Murree Road as the former marched towards Rawalpindi.

The real momentum of the protest is expected to kick off when Gandapur enters the city with his convoy from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as he has promised to create a “Dama Dam Mast Qalandar atmosphere.”

While Gandapur’s convoy is moving slowly and remains quite far from Rawalpindi, it has already crossed into Punjab. Meanwhile, his lookalike team worked to “energise the party workers.”

The lookalike not only matches the KP CM in appearance but also in voice, leaving many astonished.

He expressed his determination to reach Liaquat Bagh in a conversation with a journalist, declaring, “Maryam, we are coming!” His statement quickly went viral on social media.

One user identified him as Zahid Khan Swati from Mansehra. While commenting on the viral video, a user named Sana joked, “Let’s hope he doesn’t get caught by the authorities and doesn’t end up recording any audio or video.”

Another user, Maverick, humorously suggested, “Hahaha, keep this guy safe! He’ll be useful for tricking the police and authorities.”

Mubarak Ali Raza proposed a plan, saying: “To deceive the police, he should be sent via a different route on a container so that the real Gandapur can have a clear path.”
