A video that circulated on Pakistani social media claims emerged that the shop had been sealed on the orders of the chief justice, a statement that has since been debunked.
On September 26, a social media post alleged that Crusteez was closed after the chief justice was “verbally abused” by a worker. This post attracted significant attention, amassing over 23,000 views and 300 likes. However, the claims about the shop’s closure were inaccurate; the photo of the “sealed” sign had actually been taken on September 11.
An assistant commissioner in Islamabad, Farhan Ahmed, clarified that the two incidents are unrelated.
He explained that the encounter involving the chief justice took place at the Blue Area branch of Crusteez during the summer months, while the F6 branch was sealed on September 11 due to violations of dengue prevention protocols.
Supporting this, the deputy commissioner of Islamabad posted on X (formerly Twitter) that the F6 branch was sealed for not following dengue standard operating procedures but was reopened shortly thereafter.

Ahmed also referenced a notification from August that imposed Section 144 in Islamabad, allowing authorities to take action against establishments that might contribute to dengue mosquito breeding.
Additionally, a salesman from the Blue Area branch confirmed that the shop is open and operating normally despite the recent controversy.
