Gold prices in Pakistan experienced a significant increase on Tuesday, reversing a decline from the previous session.
The price of gold per tola rose by Rs1,100, reaching a new record high of Rs273,000 in the local market.
Meanwhile, the price for 10 grams of gold climbed by Rs943, settling at Rs234,053, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA). This follows a decrease of Rs600 on Monday, when gold prices were reported at Rs271,900.
Internationally, gold prices also surged on Tuesday, with rates reaching $2,628 per ounce (including a $20 premium), marking an $11 increase for the day.

In contrast, silver prices remained unchanged at Rs2,950 per tola.
Just last Saturday, gold prices had set a record at Rs272,500 per tola in Pakistan.
