The US State Department has expressed concern over the attack on a convoy of foreign diplomats on the Malam Jabba Road in Swat.
An attempt was made to target the convoy with explosives. A police mobile vehicle, part of the convoy’s security detail, was hit by the blast, resulting in injuries to four police officers.
One of the injured officers, Burhan Khan, succumbed to his injuries during treatment. All diplomats remained safe. The attack on the convoy took place near Jahanabad.
According to Deputy Inspector General of Police Malakand, Muhammad Ali Gandapur, the convoy included diplomats from Bosnia, Russia, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Zimbabwe, Indonesia, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Portugal.

In response, the US State Department expressed its concern over the attack in Malam Jabba, Pakistan. The State Department stated that the Pakistani people have suffered greatly from terrorism and that the US stands with the victims’ families.
The US State Department further stated that the US stands with Pakistan in its fight against terrorism.
