The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced that SIM cards registered under the identity cards of deceased individuals will be blocked starting October 15.
In its official statement, the PTA emphasized the need for immediate transfer of these SIM cards to the names of living relatives.
Following the deadline, any SIM cards linked to deceased individuals will be deactivated.
The PTA urges users to act promptly by visiting their nearest franchise with the original death certificate of the deceased and official proof of their relationship.
