A speeding truck ran over several individuals attending a wedding ceremony in Gojra, resulting in the deaths of four people, including young girls and women, while eight others were injured.
Among the deceased were Yasmin, Asma, Nisha, and Namra, with two young girls also among the victims.
Emergency teams and a heavy police presence arrived at the scene after the incident, transporting the deceased and injured to the hospital.
The unfortunate event occurred near Mansa Orh’s wedding venue. The children and others were walking with henna (Mehndi) when the out-of-control truck struck them.
The police have taken possession of the truck, but the driver managed to flee the scene.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has expressed her sorrow over the deaths of four women who were struck by a speeding truck in Gojra.
She extended her condolences to the families of the deceased and directed that legal action be taken against the driver responsible for the accident.
