At least seven people, including women and children, died in a deadly collision on Thursday on the National Highway near Lodhran between a speeding truck trailer and a loader-rickshaw.

According to the rescue officials, seven people, including women and children, were killed in the tragic incident when the loader rickshaw carrying laborers was struck by the speeding truck trailer.

Police and rescue crews arrived at the scene shortly after the accident.

The National Highway was partially blocked off by the police team.

The deceased were taken to a morgue for an autopsy, and the injured were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Hospital physicians reported that the injured patients’ conditions were critical.
