In a counter-terrorism operation near the Nankana Sahib Interchange in Punjab, three terrorists were killed, while two others escaped.
A spokesperson for the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) indicated that Lahore narrowly avoided a significant disaster during an armed confrontation with the terrorists. The operation, based on intelligence, was initiated when the terrorists opened fire on the CTD team.
In addition, the CTD reported the arrest of nine terrorists across various cities in Punjab as part of recent operations.
The raid resulted in the seizure of three hand grenades, three detonators, safety fuse wires, two rifles, ammunition, and other explosive materials.

Currently, a search operation is underway to apprehend the escaped terrorists, with roadblocks established near the Nankana Interchange.
Efforts to identify the deceased terrorists are also ongoing. The CTD spokesperson revealed that the terrorists had finalized plans for a major attack on Lahore.
