The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) recently conducted a series of raids across the country, resulting in the seizure of over 28 kg of drugs and the arrest of four individuals, including a woman, according to a spokesman from ANF Headquarters on Wednesday.
The ANF teams are focused on targeting drug traffickers supplying narcotics to educational institutions.
During these operations, 46 intoxicated tablets were confiscated from an individual arrested near two educational institutions on Gojra Road in Jhang, who admitted to selling drugs to students.
The spokesman emphasized that strict actions will be taken under a zero-tolerance policy against those involved in distributing drugs to youth, as such activities threaten their future.
The spokesperson said that in one case around 544 grams of ice were found in the bag of a passenger traveling to Jeddah from Allama Iqbal International Airport.
He also said that a female passenger at Islamabad Airport was caught with 53 heroin-filled capsules while also bound for Jeddah.
Furthermore, 470 grams of ice were seized from a parcel booked for Bahrain at the GPO in Sialkot, and 26.4 kg of hashish, valued at Rs 2.4 million, was discovered in hidden compartments of a car intercepted near Sindhri Hotel on Shikarpur Road, leading to the arrest of one suspect on the scene, the spokesperson reported.
The cases have been filed against the arrested individuals under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are ongoing.
