Senior journalist Nisar Lehri was shot and killed in the GulKand area of Mastung, Balochistan, on Wednesday, as confirmed by police.
Lehri, who served as the secretary of the local Press Club, was reportedly murdered over a land dispute, according to local officials.
The president of the press club, Faiz Durani, has called for the immediate arrest of those responsible for the attack.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Mastung indicated that police raids are currently underway to apprehend the suspects.

Earlier this year, journalist Nasrullah Gadani also fell victim to gun violence near Mirpur Mathelo, Ghotki. He was attacked while on his way to the local Press Club and, despite being transported to multiple hospitals for treatment, succumbed to his injuries in Karachi.
