A devastating explosion in Balochistan’s Pishin district has claimed the lives of two children and injured 14 others, according to police officials.
The blast occurred near a police line in the city, with the injured individuals, including policemen, being rushed to the hospital. Some of the victims are said to be in critical condition.
Medical superintendent of Pishin Hospital, Dr. Wakeel Sherani, confirmed that 13 of the wounded were transferred to the hospital in Quetta for further treatment. The bodies of the two deceased children and one of the injured are being held at the Pishin Hospital.
Spokesperson for the Balochistan government expressed regret over the tragic loss of life, condemning the “terrorist incident” that led to this devastating loss.
This incident comes just months after two separate explosions in Balochistan in February, which killed 26 people and injured 50 others, targeting election candidates ahead of the general elections.
