Pakistan has successfully conducted a test launch of its Shaheen-II surface-to-surface ballistic missile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced.
According to the ISPR, “The training launch was aimed at training of troops, validating various technical parameters and performance evaluation of different sub-systems incorporated for improved accuracy and enhanced survivability.”
The ISPR stated that senior officers from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Strategic Forces Command, scientists, and engineers from strategic organizations observed the ballistic missile test.
The Director General of the Strategic Plans Division commended the technical expertise, dedication, and commitment of the scientists, whose efforts made this historic success possible.
The ISPR further revealed that President Arsif Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and the services chiefs congratulated the scientists and engineers on the successful test of the Shaheen-II ballistic missile.
