Early morning rainfall brings pleasant weather to Karachi

The weather became pleasant In various areas of Karachi, with light to heavy rainfall in the early morning on monday.

In Islamabad and the surrounding areas, there was also heavy wind and thunderstorms accompanied by rainfall, making the weather pleasant.

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has forecast additional rainfall in Azad Kashmir, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan from today until August 24.

Due to the continuous rainfall and increasing temperatures, there is a risk of increased water flow in rivers and streams due to the melting of glaciers.

According to NDMA, due to the rainfall, landslides are expected in the mountainous areas of Chitral, Dir, Charsadda, Malakand, Hazara, Mirpur, Mansehra, and Abbottabad, as well as in Hunza, Gilgit, Diamir, and Nagar in Gilgit-Baltistan.

NDMA has issued instructions to the local authorities and rescue services to remain on high alert.
