Bollywood actor Salman Khan is set to take on dual roles in his forthcoming action thriller Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss, Pinkvilla reported. The film’s shooting commenced in June, with the first schedule reportedly wrapped up by July 1.
Salman portrays a businessman who, while being a philanthropist and kind-hearted individual, has a past as a Dabang. This duality forms a key aspect of his character.
Reports indicate that the production team is preparing for a spectacular action sequence starting August 22, having ordered around 10,000 pistols and bullets to enhance the scene. The intense shoot is expected to last for 40 days, promising a thrilling experience for audiences.
Filmmakers are aiming to deliver a captivating action-packed experience with Sikandar while also showcasing Salman as a compassionate character. In the initial shooting schedule, he filmed a fight scene with the villain’s son aboard a private chartered plane, with the antagonist portrayed by Sathyaraj, known for his role in Baahubali.
The Tiger 3 actor is committed to dedicating his full attention to the new movie, which is set to release on Eid 2025, leading him to step away from several other projects in the past two months. This focus may explain his absence from hosting the OTT version of Big Boss 3.
