Roti prices surge by Rs5 in Peshawar

The price of a roti (bread) in Peshawar has been increased by Rs5 once again.

Along with the price increase, the weight of the roti has also been increased by 5 grams.

As a result, the price of a 125-gram roti is now set at Rs20, and the price of a 240-gram roti is set at Rs30.

Previously, a 120-gram roti was available for Rs15.

The announcement stated that the new prices have been determined based on the recommendation of the Price Review Committee, and the new rates have been immediately implemented across the Peshawar district.

On the other hand, the bakers say that the price of an 80-kilogram bag of flour has increased from Rs7,000 to Rs8,900, and they will also incur losses with the new roti prices.
