The gold prices in Pakistan declined on Thursday, aligning with the decrease in international gold rates, according to All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
In the local Pakistani market, the price of gold per tola (a unit of weight) stood at Rs257,400, a decrease of Rs300 from the previous day.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold decreased by Rs256, with the new selling price being Rs20,680.
On Thursday, the international gold rate decreased, with the rate per ounce standing at $2,454 (including a $20 premium), down $4 from the previous day.
In contrast, the silver rates in Pakistan remained unchanged at Rs2,850 per tola.
On the Independence Day, the local price per tola of gold climbed by Rs1,200, reaching Rs257,700.
