Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist, Arshad Nadeem, was showered with accolades by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz after his historic win at the Paris Olympics.
Maryam Nawaz, who had previously announced a grand reward for Nadeem, made a special visit to his village, Mian Channu, arriving by helicopter.
Upon her arrival, Nadeem, his family, and his coach, Salman Iqbal Butt, warmly welcomed the Chief Minister. Maryam Nawaz embraced Nadeem’s mother, Razia Perveen, and offered her congratulations.
The Chief Minister then spent time with Nadeem’s family, engaging in conversation and posing for photos.
As a token of appreciation for his achievement, Maryam Nawaz presented Nadeem with a cheque for Rs10 crore, the keys to a brand new Honda Civic car, and a special recognition for his coach, Salman Iqbal Butt, with a cheque for Rs50 lakh.

Maryam Nawaz commended Nadeem and his coach for their dedication and hard work, stating that Arshad Nadeem had brought immense joy to the nation.
The event was attended by a number of dignitaries, including Senior Minister Maryam Aurangzeb, Minister for Sports Faisal Ayoub Khokhar, Special Assistant Zeeshan Malik, MPAs Sania Ashq and Aslam Bodla, Chief Secretary, ACS South, AIG South, Secretary Sports, Commissioner, RPO, Deputy Commissioner, and others.
After presenting the gifts, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz departed for Lahore.
